Red Team and Adversary Simulation
Red Team Operations
Security controls working individually do not guarantee they will stop an attack together. We first agree on a real target, such as a payment system. Using methods of attackers targeting your sector, we attempt to reach it. We measure what your defense detects at each step.
Red Team and Adversary Simulation
Real attacks progress through a chain, not a single flaw. A password stolen via phishing can open an over-privileged account. A penetration test finds these links one by one. A goal-driven operation shows if the chain reaches the objective and at which link your defense detects it.
The need
When organizations need it
- When the board asks if a real attack would be detected.
- When you want to see how your SOC investment performs against a real attack.
- When penetration tests close with similar findings each year and do not reveal the real risk.
- When an organization in your sector is attacked and you want to test the same scenario in your own environment.
Questions
What this work answers
- Can the critical objective be reached from the defined starting point?
- Which control stops the attack, and at which stage?
- Do alerts reach the right team in time?
- If an employee account is compromised, how far does the impact spread?
- Which fix blocks the attack path at the earliest point?
Red Team and Adversary Simulation
What we do
-
Objective-Based Red Team Operation
We attempt to reach a predefined objective (e.g., payment instruction) in a controlled manner.
-
Threat Actor Emulation
We use methods documented in public reports for groups targeting your sector.
-
Assumed Breach Assessment
The attacker is assumed to be already inside. The work starts from an account or device you provide. Time is spent moving within the network.
-
Insider Threat Simulation
We test how far an employee or contractor can reach with their actual permissions.
-
Social Engineering Testing
We test your staff and processes with targeted phishing emails and fake requests to the help desk.
-
Physical Penetration Testing
We test whether badge access and visitor controls can be bypassed and attempt to access network points inside the building.
-
Ransomware Simulation
We test how a ransomware attack would spread, without encrypting data. We also test isolation decisions and backup recovery.
-
Purple Team Exercise
We execute attack steps with your defense team. For each undetected step, a detection rule is written immediately and tested against the same step.
Scope
The starting point can be the internet, a compromised account, or the internal network. Objectives, boundaries, and stop conditions are agreed in writing before the operation. Social engineering and physical tests require separate approval.
How we work
We build the scenario using known methods of groups targeting your sector. In European finance, the ECB's TIBER-EU framework defines these tests similarly. The tests mimic real attackers' tactics, techniques, and procedures, targeting critical functions. We log every step with a timestamp and compare this with your defense's detections at the end.
Deliverables
What you receive
An operation timeline showing which steps your defense detected and missed. The changes that block each path to the objective at its earliest point. A clean-up record confirming all accesses left during the operation have been removed.
NoteThe operation is planned to avoid service disruption. Only a few management members are informed. This allows measurement of your defense's real response.
