Cybersecurity Maturity Assessment
We measure your security capability against a reference framework, based on evidence. Instead of a single score, we show missing controls and their impact.
What it is
A maturity assessment considers not only whether a control exists but also how consistently it is applied. The reference can be NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 or your sector regulation. Each area is assessed using documents, configurations and test findings. The result shows which gap exposes which risk.
Scope
- Reference framework and scope selection
- Review of all security areas, from governance to recovery
- Team interviews and configuration sampling
- Determining current and target level for each area
- Ranking missing controls by business impact
The need
When organizations need it
- When a new CISO or management wants an objective view of the organization's security posture.
- When you need to know a target company's security posture before a merger or acquisition.
- When you need to show the board what recent security investments have added to capability.
Method
How we work
-
Framework
We select the reference framework and scope with you to fit your sector and objectives.
-
Evidence
We review documents, configurations and test findings, and interview teams.
-
Levels
We set each area's current level from evidence and its target level from business need.
-
Result
We rank the gaps by impact and transfer them to the roadmap.
Outcome
What you have at the end
You have the current and target level of each security area, with supporting evidence. Gaps ranked by business impact inform your investment decisions.
Frequently asked questions
Is a maturity assessment an audit?
No. An audit assesses conformity with a requirement. A maturity assessment shows where you are and where you need to go. Its results also support audit preparation.
Why not give a single score?
A single score hides which gap is significant. Area-based levels and a list of gaps directly support investment decisions.
Which framework should we choose?
If certification is your goal, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the natural choice. NIST CSF 2.0 provides a clear structure for presenting results to management. If your sector has its own regulation, the assessment is also mapped to it.
